Ruth Samples Obituary
Mrs. Samples was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was a member of Walnut Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Samples; and daughter, Melba Stafford.
She is survived by her daughters, Lana (Johnny) Cannon, Gadsden, and Judy (Butch) Filetti, Armurchee, Ga.; son, John W. (Bettye) Samples, Canal Winchester, Ohio; son-in-law, Ray Stafford, Gadsden; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sister, Vera Lister, Clanton; brother, Charlie (Pernie) Dunn, Southside; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Doris Sheeler and Lillian Dunn.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Dunn, Kenneth Lasseter, Ricky Hunter, Jim Kilgro, Royce Graves and Pat Estes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Vincent Torregosa, 200 Hall nurses and staff at Gadsden Health Care and Rehab Center and fourth floor nurses at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Dear Family,
What a wonderful person your Mother was.She and I worked together at Woolco back in the late 70"s and in later years attended Church with her at Walnut Park Baptist.She always had a smile.May God Bless You in your hour of sorrow.
