Vicky Ryan

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Vicky Box Ryan, 46, of Gadsden. Vicky passed away on April 25, 2015. Rev. Mike Hengle will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of the services.
Vicky was a 1986 graduate of Gadsden High School. She worked as a beautician all of her life. She was a member of the Etowah County Rescue Squad for four years. Vicky was a member of Cross Creek Community Church and had recently attended Parkway Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Box; father, Milton Box; sister-in-law, Gail Box; mother-and father-in-law, Robert and Alma Ryan.
She is survived by her husband, Houston Ryan; son, Brasen Ryan; stepson, Lee Preston Ryan; sister, LeAnn (David) Colegrove; brother, Larry (Vicki) Box; uncles, Howard Pruett and James Box; aunts, Cecillia Pruett and Becky Davenport Smith; special cousin, Jessica Pruett; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Ryan Jr., John Ryan and Teresa Ryan; several cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends, Kristie (Jacob) Cornelius, Tara Matthews and Melissa Davis (who served in the rescue squad beside Vicky).
Pallbearers will be the Etowah County Rescue Squad.
Special thanks to Riverview Regional Medical Center, Etowah County Rescue Squad and Parkway Community Church.
The family will accept flowers, or memorials may be made to the Etowah County Rescue Squad.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
