Pacolet, S.C. - Alberta Peeler Gordon, 96, of 431 Hillbrook Circle, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Charles Gordon and daughter of the late Boyce Peeler and Bernice Bratton Peeler. She was a homemaker and member of Abingdon Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Wayne Gordon of Spartanburg; a daughter, Norma Gordon of Spartanburg; a brother, Dave Peeler of Gaffney; three grandchildren, John Gordon, Jr., Richard Gordon and Arthur Gordon; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, John Gordon, Sr., a granddaughter, Michelle Lea Gordon, a brother and several sisters.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their loving care.
Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Clingman Memorial Gardens with Mr. John Gordon, Jr. and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes.
