Gaffney, SC - Benajah Coyle Sarratt, 88, formerly of 723 Oak Ridge Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Peachtree Centre.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of the late Angie Kennedy Sarratt and son of the late Ben Rhyne Sarratt and Elsie Coyle Sarratt. He enjoyed antique tractor pulls and was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Kyle Busch. Mr. Sarratt was a retired farmer and member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Philip Sarratt (Sundra) of Gaffney; a daughter, Karen Denton (Denny) of Gaffney; a sister, Jane Teague (Larry) of Chesnee; five grandchildren, Jennifer S. Parker (Jonathan), Benjamin Philip Sarratt, Angela Martin, Amber Scoggan (Johnathon) and Joshua Denton (Jessica); eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a three sisters, Ann Martin, Nell Horne and Mary Sarratt; three grandchildren, Brandi Sarratt Cobb, Tara Lambert and Scott Lambert; and a great-grandchild, Jason Scott Lambert.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Martin Hogg officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Grassy Pond Baptist Church, "Cemetery Fund", 254 Grassy Pond Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
The family will be at respective homes.
