Gaffney -- Brandon Tyler Parker, 28, of 339 Starr Ridge Road, tragically passed away on Saturday, October 26th, 2024.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the husband of Kaylee Waters Parker and the son of Bobby and Rebecca McAbee Parker. Brandon was a dedicated Sheriff's Deputy and volunteer fireman, serving the citizens of Cherokee County for over 13 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and riding horses and motorcycles. Brandon enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his faithful K-9 partner, Kilo. Brandon loved making people laugh and smile and his Clemson Tiger football. He was a member of Rock Solid Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, surviving Mr. Parker are sons, Triton Ray Parker, Sawyer Briggs Parker; sister, Kacie Parker; maternal grandmother, Jessie McAbee; and paternal grandmother, Maniver Parker.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, WJ McAbee; and paternal grandfather, Floyd Parker.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney, 211 East Frederick Street, Gaffney, SC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 am at Rock Solid Community Church with Rev. Holden Poole and Sheriff Steve Mueller officiating. Interment will follow in the McAbee Family Cemetery. Rod Oglesby, Terrell Allen, Tyler Adkins, Billy Bishop, Drew Mode, Chris Parker, and Aaron Richardson will serve as pallbearers. K-9 Kilo and Cherokee County Sheriff's Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sheriff's Education Fund or The Sheriff's K-9/Award Fund, 312 E. Frederick Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.
The family will be at the residence.
