Chester Goode Obituary

Gaffney, SC - Chester Goode, 62, of Gaffney, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late C. D. Goode and Shirley Davis Goode. He retired from Musgrove Mills and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and his fur-baby "Candyman".

Surviving are two sons, Bobby Goode (Brittany Bridges) and David Goode, both of Gaffney; a sister, Angela (Dumpy) Love of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Levi, Brooklyn, Adrianna, Tia, Nevaeh and Aydin; one great-grandchild, Raelynn; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thad Thomas "Tadpole" Goode, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the Goucher Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mike Burkholder officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

Memorials may be made to: Shriner Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

The family will be at their respective homes.
