Dallas Pitts Obituary

Dallas Clyde Pitts, age 86, passed away on October 22, 2025, at Cherokee Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Dallas was the son of the late William "Bill" Pitts and Clara Sue Campbell Pitts. He was a retired employee of Hamrick Mills in Gaffney and a former co-owner of Rainbow Crafts.

Dallas had a great passion for horses, was a former bull rider, and cherished the simple joys of rural life and family. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Ellen Haralson Pitts of Gaffney; his children, Mario Padilla, Mark Padilla, Matthew Padilla, and April Darlene Niedzwiedz; his sisters, Shelby Jean Ramey and Betty Spearman; grandchildren, Cody Niedzwiedz, Kevin Mathis, Melissa Mathis, Nick Padilla, Cody Padilla, Brian Padilla, Casey Padilla, Jessie Padilla, Chris Padilla, and Brittney Raven; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Lou Pitts; his daughter, Tena Marie Crooks; and a grandchild, Anthony Padilla.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Oakway Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Monday, at Sandifer Funeral Home. The family is at their respective homes.
