David Ray Jewell, 67, of Gaffney passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Agnes I. Jewell. He was the son of Jones Ray and Mary Jewell.
He is survived by his sisters: Theresa Harvey and Leon of Pacolet, Sandy Bayne and Billy of Travelers Rest, and a brother-in-law, Greg Pruitt of Travelers Rest. David has two step daughters, many step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Faye Pruitt of Travelers Rest.
David was a member of Christian Heights Baptist Church in Gaffney. Though softspoken, David's faith was steadfast. David lifted others in prayer and offered comfort even through his own trials.

I remember this guy when he was a little boy with blonde curly hair. He was a great guy and always cordial. I know the family will miss him dearly. I was always glad to hear that my nephew was serving the Lord in many ways. My prayers for comfort for the family from the only one that can give perfect peace in this loss.
