Drenika Lanette Hopper, known as "Nika", age 20, of 250 Cedar Height, Carrollton, Ga., answered the Master's call on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at 7:23 p.m. at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, S.C.

Daughter of Latoria Dowdle (special step-father, Darrell Smalls) of Carrollton, Ga., and Derrick Hopper of Gaffney, she was born on June 25, 1996, in Gaffney, S.C. She is a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church and was in the Class of 2014 of Gaffney High School.

In addition to her parents and step-father, she leaves to cherish precious memories nine siblings, Rafheal Hopper, Jr., Tori Sarratt, Shaquala Shippy, Princess Smalls, Jamille Sarratt Jr., Tikeria Ross, Jaquar Gregory, Laura Dowdle and Paul Littlejohn of Gaffney; three grandparents, Bernadette Jefferies and Audrey Proctor of Gaffney and Johnny Ray Dowdle of Asheville, N.C.; two aunts, Shonda Dowdle and Quanda Jefferies of Gaffney; two special aunts, Jeanette Austin and Sandra Norris of Gaffney; two special uncles, Maximillian Jefferies of Atlanta, Ga., and Ray Dowdle of Gaffney; three god-parents, Lisa Wilson and Bo Wilson of Blacksburg, and Jamille Sarratt of Gaffney, and a host of great-aunts, greatuncles, nieces and other relatives.
