Grover - Elvie Inez Hayes Allen, 95, passed away March 5th, 2026, at Atrium Health Kings Mountain. Born in Shelby, NC, Elvie was the widow of William Paul Allen and the daughter of the late Thie Edgar and Iver Bell Wilkie Hayes. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 am at Clearview Baptist Church, 316 Hardin Circle, Grover, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am at the church. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com The Blacksburg location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the Allen family.
