Gregory "Greg" D. Mason, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his home in Chesnee, South Carolina.
Greg was born on March 13, 1964, to Helen Mason and the late Bill Mason of Gaffney. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Dana L. Mason, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.
Greg earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Mercer University in 1988.
He recently retired after a very successful career as owner/operator of multiple McDonalds franchises.
In addition to his wife and mother, Greg is survived by his three sons, Josh Mason (Amanda Holland Mason), Brent Mason (Britany Henderson Mason), and Seth Mason (Lora Carter Mason) and daughter, Kayla Mason (Anthony Westren). Also surviving him is his sister, Sherrie Wright (Kelly Wright). Greg was blessed with two grandchildren, Hudson and Hayden Mason, whom he loved dearly. Greg is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and great-nephews.
Following in his father's footsteps, Greg was passionate about his devotion to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, and the outdoors. He took pride in his children, and it was evident that he loved his family very much. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, farming, playing with his grandchildren and was an avid sports fan. Greg's servant heart and strong work ethic were apparent to all who knew him. He always had a wise word of advice for everyone he encountered, and he was willing to lend a helping hand at a moment's notice. He had many close friends that he considered an extension of his family.
Greg was a fervent believer and a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church. His family takes solace in the hope promised that they will one day be celebrating alongside Greg in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Spartanburg Christian Academy, "Gregory Mason Scholarship Fund", 8740 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC, 29316.
The family will receive visitors before the service from 5:00 until 7:00PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at New Pleasant Baptist Church. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00PM at the church with Reverend Bryan Yelton officiating.

I worked with Greg at the Blacksburg McDonald´s when I was in college. He was always so fun to work with and always had a kind word for everyone.
