Hubert Martin Obituary
Gaffney, SC - Hubert Delane Martin Sr., 88, of 2386 Chesnee Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Erlene Nance Martin and son of the late Troy Martin and Ara Keller Martin. He was the retired owner/operator of Martin Roofing, a U. S. Army Veteran, and a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He loved his family, baseball, collecting antiques and watching western movies. Hubert never met a stranger.
In addition to his wife, also surviving is a son, Tony S. Martin of Charleston; two grandchildren, Jacob Martin (Keeley) and their fur-baby "Leo", and Joshua Martin; a sister-in-law, Martha Hughey (Roger) of Gaffney; a special nephew Brent Hughey (Karen) of Gaffney; numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Hubert Martin, Jr. and Kelly Martin, and a brother, Billy K. Martin.
The family would like to extend special thanks to his caregivers, Okesha Smith and Crystal Powell.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 3:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry Melton and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC, 29342.
The family will be at their respective homes.
