James Spicher Obituary

Blacksburg, SC - James "Jim" Elmer Spicher, 66, of 169 Youngs Drive, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Paw Paw, MI, he was the husband of Renee Lynn Stull Spicher and son of the late Elmer Spicher and Shirley Burns Criffield, and stepson of the late Jerry Criffield and Betty Spicher. He was a self-employed handyman and formerly worked for Mann Metal Finishing in Hartford, MI. Jim loved his family, especially his grandchild, Harper, was very mechanical and skilled at building. He enjoyed spending time with family, working on cars, hiking and traveling. He was an exercise enthusiast, and was a practical joker.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Jimmy Spicher of Michigan; a daughter, Shelby Myrkle (Chad) of Michigan; a sister, Marie Mitchell of Michigan; a step-sister, Vicki Williams of Florida; a grandchild, Harper Myrkle and a grand-pup "Roscoe". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Spicher and Tom Spicher.

Services will be held in Michigan at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: National Diabetes Association, 1012 S. Baldwin Avenue, Suite A, Arcadia, CA 91007. The family will be at their respective homes.
