Gaffney, SC – Janet Lee Thorne Davis, 82, of 806 Lyman Street, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Larry Thorne and Betty Josephine Ensminger Thorne. She retired from Timken and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Jimmy Hollman (Mary) of Blacksburg, John Hollman (Michele) of Gaffney and Joey Davis (Kristy) of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Julie Hall (Alan) and Jenny Phillips (Doug), both of Gaffney; a brother, Bob Thorne, Jr. (Lou) of Tampa, FL; a sister, Sharon Harmon of Ravenna, OH; fourteen grandchildren, Dylan Hollman (Bonnie), Kelly Crawford (Samuel), Alan Hall, Matthew Hall (Karamel), Macey Coffee (Dillon), Maggie Hollman, Taylor Davis, Tanner Davis, Laban Hollman, Gracie Hollman, Brandon Nance (Victoria), Jayme Nance (Kelli), Cobin Smith (Bailey) and Kelsey Smith (Royce Olander); numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Grady Gregory officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Lighthouse Baptist Church, 241 Oak Grove Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
