Blacksburg, SC - Kathleen "Kathy" Tracy McCreedy, 78, of 1199 Dravo Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum.
Born in Camden, NJ, she was the wife of Lloyd Joseph McCreedy and daughter of the late Thomas Charles Tracy and Annabelle Willie Tracy. She retired from RCA in quality control and worked on all the Apollo Missions. She was a member of Cornerstone Church, loved her family and reading, and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Lloyd McCreedy, Jr. (Teresa) of Davie, FL; two daughters, Kathleen Hoppe-Hill (Steven) of Helen, GA and Kimberly Mayberry (Barry) of Hollywood, FL; six grandchildren, Katie Hoppe Smith (fiancé Thomas), Marianne Hoppe (fiancé Caleb), Allison Mayberry (Sam), Killian McCreedy (Maria), Ryan McCreedy and Delaney McCreedy; three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, David Hoppe.
Cryptside services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, August 18, 2025 in Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Phyllis Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
The family will be at their respective homes.
