Blacksburg - Kristan Deric Camp, affectionately known as "Kris", went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 11 in Charlotte NC.
He was the husband of Gloria McCluney Camp and the son of Willie Camp Sr. and Howard Bradley (Phronia) and the late Annie Corry Camp. He was a substitute teacher and a member of Galilee Baptist Church. Kris enjoyed coaching sports in Blacksburg and you often find him serving in many capacities at his church. He always had a smile and brought joy to everyone he met.
In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Camp is survived by three sons, Kristan Camp Jr., Ivan Camp, and James Fernanders, Jr.; four daughters, Shakeia McCluney (Sedric), Kattie McCluney (Curtis), Ebony McCluney (Coby), and Hillary Johnson (James); seven brothers, Willie Camp Jr. (Pam), Kevin Camp (Tammy), Tracey Smith (Erica), Marcus Bradley (Alexia), Bradley Bradley (Kimberly), Rodger Bradley, and Matthew Archie; two brothers-in-law, Larry McCluney and Marcus McCluney (Donyella); four sisters, Corretta Camp, Carolyn Montgomery, Rachel Bradley, and Teresa Bradley; seven sisters in-law, Alfreda Corry, Margie Ratchford, Linda Brown (Terrance), Niecy Allen (Steve), Mary Woods (Rick), Cheryl Littlejohn (Brian), and Barbara Johnson (Emery); 14 grandchildren, Da'Keia McCluney, Da'marius McCluney, Braylen McCluney, Callie Hughes, Adrian Sanford, Jayla McCluney, Timothy Beckham Jr., Taegan Beckham, Jada Ross, Shariah Ross, Elijah Littlejohn, Akiyreiah Littlejohn, Bradson Mickles, Cam'Ron Phillips and a lot more that called him "Papa" and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Corey Bradley, Stevie Bradley, John Bradley and Sylvester Bradley.
Visitation for Mr. Camp will be Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 19th at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Blacksburg, 121 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC with Pastor Lewis Duckett officiating. Interment will follow at Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, 1601 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC.
