Gaffney, SC - Lillie Mae Lovelace Mullinax, 75, went stepping on the clouds to go see Jesus on December 12, 2025.
Lillie was a retired bank teller and much-loved fixture in her community. A graduate of Chesnee High School, she was a woman who loved the Lord, cherished her family, and enjoyed fellowship with others. From her days of church-league softball to her weekly quilting bees, Lillie welcomed others into her life and was blessed with many good friends who loved her. She loved nurturing her plants and was always tickled when something grew beyond her expectations, and she relished every opportunity to travel with the love of her life, making new memories all across the country. Mrs. Mullinax was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She joins our Heavenly Father ahead of her family: her beloved husband of 56 years, Melvin; her daughter Tina; her daughter and son-in-law Tami and Jason Humphries; her granddaughter Kinsley Humphries, grandson-in-law Dyllan Pierce, and their child Kyller (her little man); and her grandson Jordan Humphries, granddaughter-in-law Whitney Humphries, and their child JJ (her big boy).
She leaves behind her siblings Patricia Lovelace, Deborah and Rich Hyink, Jimmy and Karen Lovelace, Jean and Randall Godfrey, and Theresa Lovelace. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and others who were a part of her beloved family.
She is preceded to Heaven by her parents, Clara and Bob Lovelace, and her siblings Catheryn and Lester Deyton, Bobby Lovelace, Betty and Wayne Littrell, RC and Louise Lovelace, and a brother and sister who passed in infancy.
To her many family members and dear friends, Lillie leaves a message: "I love you more."
