Mooresboro, NC - Louise Humphries Bartee, 98, of 2815 Camp Creek Church Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Atrium of Cleveland.

Born in Cherokee County, she was the widow of the late Horace W. Bartee and daughter of the late Roland Lee Humphries and Laura Louise Allison Humphries. She retired from Cone Mills in Cliffside, loved her family, gardening, cooking and yardwork. She was a member of Lavonia Baptist Church.

Surviving is a son, Keith Bartee (Peggy) of Mooresboro, NC; a sister, Annie Mae Bridges of Boiling Springs, NC; a sister-in-law, Ophelia McCraw of Mooresboro, NC; three grandchildren, Dixie Nelon (Keith), Ronnie Lytle (Kim) and Kevin Whetstine; five great-grandchildren, Luke Lytle, Paisley, Briar, Piper and Paxlei Nelon; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Bratton, Joyce Wilkie and Edna Stroupe and two brothers, R. C. Humphries and Kirk Humphries.

Graveside services will be private for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cliffside

Masonic Lodge #460, 250 Old Main Street, Mooresboro, NC 28114.

The family will be at their respective homes.
