Gaffney, SC - Margaret Lester Mullinax, 72, of 124 Lester Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of James W. Mullinax, Sr. for 54 years and daughter of the late Charles Lester and Shirley White Lester. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church where she served in the Women's Missionary Union.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Jamie Mullinax (Linda) and Greg Mullinax (Brandy), both of Gaffney; a sister, Sheila Bolin (Buck) of Blacksburg; five grandchildren, Emily Mullinax, Kayla Puga (Stefano), Evan Mullinax (Anna), Allen Mullinax (Courtny) and Lucas Mullinax; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the Church with Reverend Tommy Wright officiating. Inurnment will be in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, "WMU", P.O. Box 1616, Gaffney, SC 29342 or Cherokee County Animal Shelter, 163 Progressive Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340.
