Nancy Lucille Lipscomb, 83, of 105 Carver Street, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, in her home.
She was born in Cleveland County, NC and was a daughter of the late Jimmy Dean Lipscomb and Enzommer Turner Lipscomb.
Lucille was a member of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Sr. Choir, Sr. Missionaries, and Culinary Committee. She was a retired employee of Hamrick Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Allie Lipscomb, three sisters, Allie Mae Vann, Irene Foster (John), and Jessie Mae Brown. She leaves to cherish loving memories: her husband, William Johnson, of the home; a son, Jimmy Lipscomb (Lori), of Gaffney; a daughter, Karen L. Tate, of Gaffney; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, 12 noon, in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Michael Golden officiating. Interment will follow in Limestone Cemetery. A maximum of 70 people will be allowed to attend the service in the chapel.
The family respectfully request that visits to the home be between the hours of 4-6 p.m. and limited to 10 minutes.
