Gaffney, SC -Nathan Jennings Huskey, 67, of 1602 Oak Ridge Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late George B. Huskey and Virginia Allison Huskey. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and retired from Duke Power. He visited and fed people in the nursing home and his community, was an avid bowler and softball player. Mr. Huskey was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, George Huskey and Bobby Joe Huskey and wife, Jane, all of Gaffney; a sister, Ethel Jean Hamrick and husband, Kenneth of Gaffney; two special great-nieces, Brooke Phillips and Aleah Phillips, both of Gaffney; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Camps Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Allen Hall, Reverend Steve Durham and Reverend Buddy Moorehead officiating. Interment will be in Camps Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

So sad to just see the obituary of Nate. He was such a friendly person. I got to know Nate when we worked at Duke Energy. I always was glad to see him and talk about retiring. Great guy! So glad I knew him....Troy Whisenant
