Parnice Davis Jefferies departed this side of eternity and went to her heavenly home on February 24, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Ebb Davis and Bessie Linder Davis. Parnice was a member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she served the kingdom as a Deaconess as well as a member of the Vernon Choir, Senior Citizens Committee, and Christian Leaders Missionary. In addition to providing love and care to her family, Parnice was a retired housekeeper and cook, affectionate collector of hats, and avid nurturer of plants.
She was preceded in death by her sons: Paul Gist, Jeffery Jefferies, and James E. Jefferies and her siblings: Clara Davis, Mary Fernanders, Amogene Byers, Christina Reaves, George W. Davis, Alice Davis, Ezera Thompson,
Rebecca Davis and Lewis M.C. Davis, and her grandson, Bernard Jefferies.
She leaves cherished memories to her husband, James "Lemon" Jefferies. She is also survived by her sister, Burdie A. Garnett (Sam) and sister-in-law Beulah Washington and brother-in-law Dr. A.L Brackett. She was a loving grandmother to 4 grandchildren: Tiffany Davidson-Brooks (Tyrone) reared as a daughter, Derrick Davidson (Travika), Travis Davidson (Jessica), and Cassandra Johnson; 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; two stepchildren, Johnny Lee Jefferies (Mot) and Gloria Jefferies; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Mae Jefferies and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with The Reverend C. A. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday and Friday from 3 until 7:00 p.m. at the home.
