Patsy Terry Obituary
Gaffney, SC - Patsy Ruth Sparks Terry, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Brookview Healthcare.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Jerry Reed "Buttercup" Terry and daughter of the late Clyde Sparks and Ethel Parker Sparks. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Terry's Diesel, loved gardening and raising poodles, and was a member of Gaffney Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Roger Terry (Cathy C. Fowler) of Gaffney; two daughters, Rita T. Koone and Peggy T. Lewis and husband, James, both of Gaffney; a sister, Betty McCullough and husband, Buddy, of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Shawn Holmes and husband, Jeff, Brooke McCumber and husband, Reid, Rachel Easler and husband, Brian, Michael Terry and wife, Jane, and April Terry; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Goode and a brother, Bill Sparks.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Patsy's caregiver, Millie Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Peeler officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Rita Koone, 100 Grace Street, Gaffney.
