Gaffney, SC - George "Roger" Zucker, 87, of 212 Old Race Track Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his residence.
Born in Hartford, South Dakota, he was the husband of the late Frances Parker Zucker and the son of the Carl E. Zucker and Ruthann Skinner Zucker. He enjoyed horseback riding and fishing and was retired from logging and Hoechst Celanese. Mr. Zucker was a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Doug Zucker and Jason Zucker (Jean), both of Gaffney; two daughters, Robin Hulsey of Gaffney and Holly Zucker of Gaffney; a granddaughter raised in the home, Anna Zucker of Gaffney; three brothers, John Zucker, Bob Zucker (Irene) and Ronnie Zucker (Margie), all of Washington State; a sister, Dorothy Vradenburg of Washington State, twelve grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Zucker was preceded in death by a son, Josh Zucker; a daughter, Rennie Zucker; a great-granddaughter, Jayla Zucker; and a sister, Betty Reams.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: East Gaffney Baptist Church, 2308 Cherokee Avenue, Gaffney, SC, 29340.
The family will be at their respective homes.
