Gaffney, SC - Sherri Ann Gaffney, 61, of 626 Peeler Creek Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Wadesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jerry H. Gaffney and Patricia Cole Vinesett, and stepdaughter of James Vinesett of Gaffney. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, formerly worked at Freightliner Chassis, and a member of New Heights Baptist Church. She loved her family and her fur-babies, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.
Surviving is a daughter, Sherrei McAbee of Wilmington, NC; two brothers, Donald E. Gaffney (Cindy) of Hilton Head and Jerry H. Gaffney, II of Gaffney; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cherokee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2223, Gaffney, SC 29342 or Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342.
The family will be at their respective homes.
