Charlotte, NC - Sherry Franklin Jones, 76, of 3610 Randolph Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Charter Senior Living in Charlotte.
Born in Jesup, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Lucy Hardee Stolle, and stepdaughter of the late Henry Stolle. Sherry was a graduate of Wayne High School in Jesup, GA, a graduate of Marsh Draughon Business College in Atlanta, GA, and a member of Chase Baptist Church in Forest City, NC. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, was devoted to her children and fur-babies, loved planting flowers and crafting, and was a devoted watcher of Wheel of Fortune.
Surviving are two sons, Derek Jones (Cheryl) of Charlotte and Duane Jones (Jessica) of Boiling Springs; a brother, Anthony Franklin of Jacksonville, FL; two nephews, Jared Franklin and Alex Thompson, both of Jacksonville, FL; her childhood friend, Jan Mensing of Valdosta, GA and her ex-husband, Reece Jones of Mooresboro, NC.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
The family will be at their respective homes.
