Shirley Quinn Obituary
Cowpens, SC - Shirley Cooke Quinn, age 77, of 908 Savannah Street, Cowpens, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Just thirteen days earlier, she lost the love of her life and husband of 58 years, Gary Bruce Quinn. Their lifelong love story that began as seventh-grade sweethearts is now reunited in Heaven.
Born November 28, 1948, Shirley was the daughter of the late James Walker Cooke and Valerie Cooke. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Ola Belle Thrift, Yvonne Tucker, Bobby Allen, and Dianne Worley, and her brother Jimmy Cooke.
She is survived by her three sons:
Steve Quinn (Miranda), Stacey Quinn of the home, and Isaac Quinn (Mandy).
She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, along with her sister Janie McKinney and brother Leland Cooke.
The family will be at the home at 908 Savannah Street in Cowpens.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 12, at Crossroads Baptist Church from 2:00 PM until 3:15 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 3:30 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Rich Lancaster of Crossroads Baptist Church, Pastor David Turner of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and Mr. Isaac Quinn.
Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
