Cowpens, SC - Shirley Evans Ruppe, 83, of 240 Ben Bonner Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Glenn Reid Ruppe and daughter of the late Wardlaw Evans and Ethel Sue Bagwell Evans. She retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved her family, cooking, reading and word search puzzles.
She is survived by a daughter, Tina Daniels of the home; two brothers, Larry Evans of Cowpens and Terry Evans (Judy) of Conover, NC; two sisters, Linda Horne of Spartanburg and Brenda Pye (James) of Chesnee; a grandson, Richie Daniels (fiancé Megan Cooke); two greatgrandchildren, Lezlee Daniels and Ashlyn Daniels; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Berl Evans, Buddy Evans, Reginald Evans, Jerry Evans, Ray Evans and Gerald Evans and a sister, Patricia Robbins.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be Frederick Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the residence, 240 Ben Bonner Road, Cowpens.
