Gaffney, SC - Sue Humphries Daggerhart, 100, of 413 Mikes Creek Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland.
Born in Shelby, she was the widow of the late Bynum Thomas Daggerhart and daughter of the late Guy A. Humphries and Macy Mintz Humphries. She retired from the S. C. Highway Department after 29 years of service and was the oldest attending member of Kirby Church and also where she had been a member since the 1960s.
Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Lucy Fowler of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Tammy Hughey, Charles Daggerhart (Charm), Renee Wyatt (Terry) and Paula White (Scott); seven great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Earl Daggerhart, a grandson-in-law, Timmy Hughey, and eight brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Juanita Hughey Humphries and Teresa Humphries.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Reverend Will Vergara officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
