Chesnee, SC - Toy Winford Skipper, 79, of 274 Green Farm Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Cherokee Medical Center.
Born in Chesnee, he was the husband of the late Elizabeth Dora Greene Skipper and the son of the late Thomas Skipper and Sallie Buff Skipper. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, old westerns and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Skipper was retired from Bonitz, after 30 years of service and a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Tommy Skipper (Tessa) of the home, James Gregg (Amy) of Cowpens, Tony Owens of Forest City and Patrick Bumgardner (Anna) of Spartanburg; two daughters, Pamela Satterfield (David) and Kathy Ford (Jimmy), both of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren, April Pettit, Dusty Owings (Courtney), Monica Skipper, Andrew Skipper, Austin Gregg (Olivia), Kensey Martin (John) and Chasity Goodwin; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Skipper was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Skipper and J.C. Skipper; eight sisters, Bertha Cox, Leslie Keller, Maragret Skipper, Meg Horne, Sue Mosley, Betty Parris, Helen Skipper and Luvan Skipper; and two grandchildren, Cathy Leigh and Brian Amburgey.
The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30PM at Hicks Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Preston Edmonds officiating.
The family will be at the residence.
