Gaffney - Mr. Zakius Davis, 14, of 405 Granite Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Born in Gaffney, he is the son of Clarence Joshua Davis and Angelica Lindsay. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he also enjoyed playing the drums. Zakius loved basketball and played AAU and YMCA basketball.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings; Jeremiah Lindsay, Martavious Futrell, Kalisha Lindsay, Latisha Lindsay and Jakeria Davis, Grandparents, Florence Morgan of Spartanburg, SC, Vincent "Eddie" Morgan (Lashawnda Sarratt) of Gaffney, and Rev. Dr. Clarence and Minister Charlayne Davis of the home, Great-Grandparents,
Diane and James McCoy of Gaffney, Ella Davis of Gaffney, Faye Morgan of Gaffney, Mozelle Dewberry of Cowpens, and Flossie Wilkins of Gaffney, uncles; Vincent Lindsay, Marcus Lindsay, Leroydric Smith, and Jordan Crawford all of Gaffney and aunts; Natasha Lindsay, Clarissa Davis, Quetoryia Davis, Cierra Lindsay and Shyeasha Lindsay all of Gaffney, special great aunt, Mary Dewberry of Moore, SC, special great uncle, John Dewberry of Charlotte, NC, special friends, Reginald Keenan, James Littlejohn and Ahmya Hollis, and a host of many other relatives, classmates, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 12:00 pm at the Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Clarence Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his mother, 940 N. Limestone St. Apt. I-42, Gaffney and his aunt, 406 Granite Drive, Gaffney.
