What I loved about Ned was getting to know him while he fell in love with his "Krissy," his wife of several years. It was a time where he was at his best: happy, witty, and lovingly intelligent and accepting of all our idioscyncrocies; as we his! He is missed.

Although I did not "know" Ned well at all, just saw him often, I felt his spirit. Ned taught me without even trying. I am so glad that Ned has many that recognized him as a special gift. I pray that he knew it too. Edward Ned Elmer Carroll III came, GAVE and has left the physical world. Edward is still with us in spirit and I am grateful. I thank you all for sharing your precious connections.

I was surprised and saddened to hear of Ned's death. I worked periodically with Ned and always enjoyed our time together both professionally and socially. Ned was always upbeat and the mood & spirit of the rest of us benefited from knowing him. He will be missed. The world is a poorer place without him, but a good man has moved on to the next level. I'm sure they have welcomed him already.

Ned was a co-worker of mine who I could always depend on. He was a bright young man, a gentleman, and he was my friend. He will always be remembered with a smile.

Hello Thuy,
I didn't know Ned but I took care of his dad as a Hospice nurse and came to have great respect and fondness for the family. My thoughts go out to you.

Ned lived upstairs from me and I've known him since he moved in to our community. He was always a great friend and neighbor, helping me out when I needed it and always there to talk to. My roommate Charlie and myself remember him fondly, talking with him as he went out each day to walk Pirate and shoot the breeze. I served 9 years in the Army and we talked about that often. He gave me a US Army Baseball cap to wear when I worked at my job, telling me to wear it and be proud of my service. I still have that cap and will wear it with a different kind of pride now....I am proud to have been his friend and will miss him always. The world is a darker place without him and I offer my deepest condolences for his loved ones.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ned's family. We were deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I only knew him through work, but I instantly recognized that he was a man of great character (and it certainly didn't hurt that he was a Gator as well). He will truly be missed!

I am so grateful I got to know Ned even though it was for a short time. He was so bright, full of life and as someone said to me just yesterday "A Real Stand Up Guy". Ned left a lasting impression on me that I will never forget.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Though I only encountered Ned a handful of times through the years, I was always very impressed with him from afar. He was obviously highly intelligent and handsome, well traveled/accomplished, adored his frisbee-loving Jack Russell, and was a devoted friend to my older brother, Mark. When he'd come into our house in Gainesville in the 80's-90's I'd do an embarassed double take, he had such presence. Peace.

I am very sorry for your loss, but most of all glad you had many wonderful memories of Ned. Ned and I went to GHS together but our bond grew after that, he was my first true love in my life-I moved away during this time and he wrote me letters every single day which I have always cherished. We had so much fun together just hanging out listening to music or going to the beach with friends, He will always be in my heart.

I will always love & miss my brother, the one I grew up with, the one who grew up with me. Without him, I would have been a pathetic, spoiled, wimp, but Ned showed me how tough we are, tough enough to laugh in the face of adversity, so we always did.

We are saddened to hear of your loss.
Ned, was a super kid!!! 1 of Anglewood's finest, I will always remember the good times, jumping on the trampoline, playing pool, flag football, "horses and coyotes", pinball & ice cream at Doug's Dairy Twirl, but especially Saturday morning cartoons, with cereal and pop-tarts. Oh, and how many times did he see Jaws at the Royal Park???

I worked with Ned for the past 5 years on a variety of projects. He was one of our best and brightest...and had one helluva sense of humor. He even got us rooting for the Gators. We will miss him very much.

I am so sorry to hear about Ned! I really thought a lot of him! I used to live in Bell and he loved coming out to the farm to visit with me and my former husband. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Ned will be truly missed!
