Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Maysville, Ga., for Christine "Granny Gee," age 84, of Hendersonville, N.C., who went to be with her Lord Jesus on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House. The body will lie in state from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The Rev. Swayne Carlan and the Rev. Richard Merck will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Talmo, Ga. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gee was a native of Gainesville, Ga., and lived her last six years in Hendersonville, N.C. She was born in Jackson County, Ga., to the late Glenn and Reba Pennington Fauscett. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Downey Gee; two infant children, Catholine and Dannie; and her brothers, Grover, Lloyd, Robert, Glenn (J.C.) and Gene Fauscett.

Survivors include sisters, Reba Fauscett Bounds, Morene Fauscett Merck and Shirley Fauscett Merck; daughters, Beverly Gee Merck (Richard), Becky Gee Perrin (Denny), Robin Gee Lathem (Allen); grandchildren, Jason Merck (Valerie), Joshua Merck (Lisa), Kim Grant (Keith), Heather McCaskey (Dan), Kayla Perrin; and six great-grandchildren.

She was a faithful and dedicated wife, a loving and fun-loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
