George W. Kellar

Mr. George W. Kellar, age 86, of Oakwood passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Autumn Breeze Assisted Living, following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Carter will officiate. The family will receive friends 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Kellar was born Oct. 20, 1927, to the late John C. and Minnie Kellar in Etowah, Tenn., and was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. He had served in the Army and was owner of Kellar Bonded Warehouse. Mr. Kellar was also preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Kellar and Fred Kellar; and sister, Bonnie Smith.

Survivors include: wife, Betty Mazola Kellar, of Oakwood; son, Walter Kellar; stepdaughter and husband, Trish and Mike Zeigler, of Flowery Branch; stepgranddaughter and husband, Jennifer and Doug Kenny, of Cumming; and several nieces; and nephews.
