Mr. James Alvin Beasley, 79, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Beasley was retired from Estes Express. He was a graduate of North Hall High School and was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church No. 2.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Juanita Bennett Beasley, Gainesville; children, James Allen Beasley (Pam), Clermont; John Timothy Beasley (Renee), Robertsdale, Ala.; and Matthew Lynn Cain, College Park; grandchildren, Josh Beasley (Kate), Ryan Beasley (Tiffany), Jeremy Cape, Brandon Cape, Carson Beasley, Alyssa Cain; great-grandchildren, Caley, Lane, Lena, Bella and Hux; special cousin, Linda Bowden, and aunt, Becky Hulsey, both of Pinehurst, Ga.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dan and Sabra Freeman, Cumming; Gene and Thelma Thomas, Ellijay; Milford and Betty Bennett, Cumming; Hugh Douglas and Linda Bennett, Gainesville; Reta Thomason, Ellijay.

Mr. Beasley is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Beasley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Mickey Wheeler and the Rev. Darin Cain will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 4-8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Flowers will be accepted, but those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Northeast Georgia or the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Beasley.
