Mary Ruth Crumley Smith Obituary
Mrs. Smith was born on April 26, 1923, in Banks County, Ga.; daughter of the late William Nelson and Nora Taylor Crumley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Smith; and son, Edgar Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Belton Baptist Church, and was a homemaker and retired seamstress.
Survivors include her sons, Royce Smith, Murrayville; Willard Smith, Baldwin; Joel Smith, Lula; Baxter Smith, Lula; sisters, Ethel Tucker, Fountain Inn, S.C.; Ruby Jones, Spartanburg, S.C.; Monteen Wiley, Chester, S.C.; brothers, William Crumley, Quenton, Ark.; Charles Crumley, Whitmire, S.C.; Steve Crumley, Union, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Ga., with the Rev. Phillip Gillespie and the Rev. Danny Lewallen officiating. Interment will follow in Belton Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Belton Baptist Church, 6553 Grove St., Lula, GA 30554.
