Donald Anauo Obituary
He was born in New York on Dec. 21, 1938, to the late Charles and Beatrice Cazo Anauo.
Survivors include daughters, Teresa Anauo and Ashley Anauo, both of Galax; sons and daughters-in-law, Harry Anauo of Galax, Charles Anauo of Virginia Beach, Mike and Rebecca Anauo of Fries and Donald and Peggy Anauo of Ivanhoe; 11 grandchildren and spouses; 12 brothers and sisters; ten great-grandchildren; friend Susan Sharpe; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 11 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.

Heaven has gained another angel... And we will miss u. But u are the reason why we are free... Thank u for ur years in the Marines!!! I am proud to say ur my daddy and I will miss u. I still needed u here but God had a different plan... Fly high my Angel!! I love u daddy and don't worry we will be fine here. I promise I will never be a quitter and I'll continue to move forward. Until we meet again!! I love u Daddy and I miss u very much!!!

I personally didn't know Mr Anauo but I served with Billy in Iraq and now with Joe. Think the world of both of them. To the entire Anauo family, May your loved one rest in eternal peace. God's Speed Warrior

We have know Don for years and he would always say "Good morning" in such a sweet way. He served his Country and we appreciate his service to this Nation. His life was put in harms way and If I remember correctly he said "I would rather be in service than out on a public job"
