Carol Mae Spencer

Carol Mae Spencer, age 85 of Curwensville, PA died Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on May 26, 1940 in Jordan Township, Clearfield County, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Gladys I. (Bloom) Round.

On January 31, 1963 in Burnside, PA, she married her husband of 30 years, Edward A. Spencer. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1993.

Carol was the owner and operator of the Country Hobby Shoppe in Grampian for many years.

She is survived by her four children (Deborah R. Heigel and her husband George of DuBois, PA, Lance G. Spencer and his husband Frank Cummings of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Holly R. Spencer of Hepburnia, PA, and Heather D. Barber and her husband Scott of Falls Creek, PA), seven grandchildren (George A. Heigel, III and his husband Luke Klein, Abbie Gangewere and her husband Dr. Ben, Jacob Heigel and his wife Kate, Megan Rae McGarry and her fiancé Aloysius Gatesman, Dr. Andrea Pelakatiyage and her husband Hiro, and Isaac and Alayna Barber), and nine great grandchildren (Oliver, Elizabeth, Penelope, Henry, Piper, Charlie, Loralai, Audianna, and Aubriella).

Private family visitation and funeral services were held from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Bruce Dimmick officiating.

Burial was in Friends Cemetery, Grampian, PA.
