Lottie Maines Obituary
Born February 28, 1928 in Glenn Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Lottie (Durusha) Blake.
She had wed the late William Dixon then later wed Gilbert Maines, Sr. who also preceded her in death.
Lottie was a member of the Rock United Methodist Church, West Decatur. She loved and was very devoted to her church and her church family. She lived a long and blessed life as a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and crocheting, but most of all, she loved her family with all her heart, spending every minute with them that she could.
Surviving are her children, Jean Dixon, Pine Tops, NC; William Dixon, Luthersburg; Donald Dixon, Woodland; Michael Dixon, Woodland; Penny Springsteadah, Woodland; Lucinda Bacigalupo, Buena, NJ; JR Maines, Woodland; Patricia Vineyard, Wallaceton; Tracey Taylor, DuBois; Christine Battaglia, Yaphank, NY and Deborah Meholick, Sykesville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Lottie was the last of her generation.
Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by sons, Richard Dixon and Walter Dixon; and daughters, Gail Dixon and Lois Pinto.
Family and friends will be received at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brian McTavish officiating.
She will be laid to rest peacefully in Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
