Raymond Winters Obituary

Raymond Garry Winters, 73, of Wallaceton, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 7, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family. Born June 16, 1952, in Philipsburg, the son of Marvin U. Winters and Erma J. (Warren) Winters. Garry carried a deep pride for his roots and the people who shaped his life.

He was a graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School, class of 1970. After attending Edinboro University, Garry joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers apprenticeship program, where he began a lifelong journey of hard work as a lineman for I.B.E.W, Local 126. He found support in the camaraderie among his union brothers. His work ethic, strength, and commitment were unmatched, and he found great purpose in a career that helped power communities near and far. Outside of work, Garry was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He had a gift for woodworking, a love of fishing, and never passed up the chance for a good cookout. Whether helping with a home project, sharing a laugh over a story, or hopping on his motorcycle for a ride, Garry was always ready to lend a hand, start an adventure, and make others smile. His kindness, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him.

Garry is survived by his daughter, Rayden L. Weber-Jones (Jay) of Osceola Mills; his son, Jason D. Winters of Culpeper, VA; their mother, Lillian Winters of Osceola Mills; his granddaughter, Evonna J. Weber, who was the light of his life; siblings, Marvin Winters (Linda) of Hollidaysburg, PA, Ginger Genesi (Ron) of Houtzdale, PA, William Winters (Susie) of Philipsburg, PA, and Tammy Stucke of Georgetown, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom he loved deeply; and his beloved redbone coonhound, Trooper.

He was welcomed home by his parents and his niece, Adrienne J. Stucke, who preceded him in death.

Garry will forever be remembered as the rock of his family - a thoughtful, loving, steady, and nonjudgmental man whose door and heart were always open. He taught those around him the value of kindness, hard work, and laughter, and he will be missed beyond words.

In lieu of flowers, Garry asked that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, Osceola Mills, PA.
