Robert Greenaway Obituary
Born in Bellefonte on November 18,1940, he was a son of the late Melvin and Martha Ann (Hockenberry) Greenaway.
Robert was a United State Navy veteran.
He was self- employed as a swimming pool installer and later as a recycle scraper.
On March 27,1958, he married Jean (Lucas) Greenaway, who survives at home.
Robert is survived by four children: Robert M. Greenaway of Brisbin, David M. (Ingrid) Greenaway of Bellefonte, Laura Wilkstrom of Philipsburg and Cherri Schroeder of Brisbin.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Christie Mills, Mary Rockey, John Wilkstrom Jr., Adalynn Bartley, Jennifer, Jason and Thomas Schroeder along with twenty- two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a sister Nancy Natalie of Houtzdale.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alonso and George, and a grandson Keith Greenaway.
Visitation will be held at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale on Friday May 23, 2025 from 12:00 to 2;00 pm at which time Terry Stiles will hold a memorial service. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
