Rose M. Fenush

Rose M. Fenush, age 96 of Clearfield and formerly of Grassflat, went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2026, at Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

Born October 12, 1929, in Grassflat, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Veronica (Matejcik) Dresko.

On July 3, 1948, at St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, she wed the love of her life, Carl G. Fenush who preceded her in death on December 23, 2010.

Surviving are her children, Alice Padisak and husband Steve, Clarence; Barbara Routh and husband Leon, Asheboro, NC; Rita Lovell and husband Paul, Hoschton, GA; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Elizabeth Guenot and husband David, Grassflat.

Along with her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a son, Francis Fenush; her grandchildren, Carolyn Padisak, Mary Kay Padisak and Joshua Padisak.

Rose had attended the former Cooper Twp. High School, Grassflat. She had been the secretary for Cooper Twp. Municipality for over 20 years. Rose was a member of St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, where she taught Catechism for many years. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Jednota Lodge. She enjoyed gardening in her flower gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received for viewing, on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6-8:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat and again on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 at the home until precession leaves for church. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting with Father Johnathan Schmolt as celebrant.

She will be laid to rest in St. Severin Roman Catholic Cemetery, Drifting.
