Lois was born in Dannebrog, NE on February 3rd, 1937. She graduated from Dannebrog High in 1954. She married Curtis Lee on January 23rd, 1958 in Denver, Colorado. They resided in Torrance, California where they raised their sons. Before becoming a homemaker, Lois had a career in banking. In 1979, she and Curt bought a retirement home in Buena Vista, Colorado where they enjoyed a slower pace and the great outdoors. Lois was a good-hearted lady who loved reading, chatting on the phone, spending time with Curt in Hawaii, thrifting before it was vogue and providing for and loving her family. She passed away on April 16, 2021 in Arizona. She will be greatly missed by her three sons/daughters-in-law: Lance & Debi (Fort Mohave, AZ), Kevin & Vicki (Buena Vista, CO), Kelly & April (Torrance, CA), her 10 grandkids (Dani, Kendra, Holli, Curtis, Jodi, Cheyenne, Kyle, Denver, Atlanta, & Colton), 13 great grandkids, extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella Mae Gans, her brother, Robert Gans, and her husband, Curtis L. Hargrove. A private family viewing was held on April 19th in Arizona. A memorial open house will occur on June 5th at her home in Torrance, CA with an intimate gathering including sprinkling of her ashes taking place in Buena Vista, CO later in the summer.
