Aileen Gardner Obituary
Born in Cleveland County on May 11, 1917 she was a daughter of the late John Martin Hoyle and Laura Lee Fortenberry Hoyle. She was retired from WH Hudson Department Store after forty-three years of service. Mrs. Gardner was also a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She also enjoyed working in her yard, sewing, and making over fifty quilts.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her former husband, Allen Webb Gardner; three brothers, J.B. Hoyle, Thatcher Hoyle, and Jewel Hoyle; and three sisters, Blanche Hoyle, Ruth Winfield, and Helen Martin.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn McCraw and husband Keith of Shelby; two grandchildren, Keith McCraw Jr. of Raleigh and Marsha Williamson and husband Sam of Charlotte; five great-grandchildren Lannah Williamson, Morgan Price and husband Dylan, Brittany Montez and hausband Jose, Chase McCraw, and Colin McCraw and two great-great-grandchildren Killian Price and Emma Price.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Perry Holleman officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mama Leen was one of the sweetest ladies I ever meant. I will never forget her and know she is in heaven watching over her family! We sure loved you!!!
