Belinda Higginbothan Obituary
Belinda was a veterinarian tech at Wilkinson Animal Hospital and owner of the Iris Room in Belmont.
Survivors include Dona Conrad and husband Larry, Tad Nunley and wife Teresa, Stephanie Conrad and husband Ashleigh, Sarah Conrad and husband Will, Maggie Nunley and husband Matt, Morgan Rakes and husband Cole, Albert "Al" Weldon, David and Renee Pilkey, Clint Pilkey, and Blair Pilkey.
A service to celebrate Belinda's life will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors, Gastonia. The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorials in Belinda's name may be made to the Animal League Gaston County, 425 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28052

I'm so saddened. Belinda was such a sweet lady and enjoyed making others happy with their events. She touched our lives with her warm heart. She loved her husband dearly and can imagine they are smiling together once again. May the family find love and comfort.

I was so truly shocked and heartbroken to read the email sent by Dr Gill. I just couldn't believe it. I first met Belinda at Wilkinson back in early 2000. Such a beautiful person and such a shocking loss. You will be so missed and my heart breaks for your family and friends!

I'm so very sorry to hear of this. Belinda will be greatly missed. Thru the many many years of caring for my pets there has never been anyone more compassionate and caring than Belinda. She truly loved the pets and people. She always took the time to talk to me and ask how I was. I know she touched so many lives. I will miss you Belinda.

My sweet cousin. You truly touched the hearts of every person you met. I never saw you without a smile on your face or a kind word to offer. You exemplified all the best in people. I know you missed Joe terribly and I find some joy in knowing that you will get the opportunity to spend eternity with him now. Belinda and I started our careers in Veterinary Medicine around the same time. In over 30 years of working with her, I can say she is a dedicated, caring, loving, considerate, disciplined, competent, tolerant, honest, spirited, talented, productive, fun-loving, compassionate, supportive, conscientious leader and team-player who impacted and helped lots of people and pets. She is a true friend. If there was ever a battle on any front, I would want her by my side. Thank you for living and making a difference. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life.
