Bettie Moton Obituary

GASTONIA - Bettie S. Moton, 84, of Gastonia passed away Feb. 3, 2012, at the Brian Center, Gastonia.

She was born June 13, 1927, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Orville Lorander and Faye Jenkins Hope.

Mrs. Moton was a member of the Southern Bell Pioneers and had also retired from Bell South after 37 years.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.

Interment is private.

She is survived by one son, Lynn Stewart of Gastonia; a brother, Tom Hope and wife Carol of Gastonia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Don Hope; and one sister, Jenny Hope.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513
as well as to the YMCA of Gastonia, 615 W. Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
