Bobby Roberts Obituary
He was born March 10, 1973, in Gaston County, and is the son of Nancy Roberts and the late Dewitt Roberts Jr.
Bobby was a devoted husband and father who loved his children and also loved fishing. He loved music and loved singing and playing the guitar. He was a truck driver for Special Delivery Logistics for four years and was employed in the textile industry for several years.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Community Pentecostal Center in Stanley.
The service will be officiated by Rev. Eddie McGinnis.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the church.
Interment will be at Westview Gardens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Marie Crawley Roberts of the home; son, Bobby Lyn Roberts Jr. of the home; daughter, Victoria Elizabeth Roberts of the home; mother, Wanda Brown of Marion; brothers, Clyde Doughty Jr. of Bessemer City, Jonathon Morgan of Marion, and James Morgan of Hollywood, Fla.; and sister, Carrie Clippard of Marion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bobby Roberts Sr. Memorial Fund, c/o Marie Roberts, P.O. Box 315, Stanley, NC 28164.
Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.

Marie and family, so sorry to hear of Bobby's home-going. His suffering on this earth is over, but "to be absent from the body, present with the Lord". We firmly believe that. The Jones Family has a lot of memories with Bobby because of our son Scott's close friendship with Bobby. Scott cherishes his last moments with him on Monday, a week ago. It meant so much to Scott and he told us all about his visit. May God bless you with the comfort of the Holy Spirit and the fact that Bobby is now at peace with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Scott feels like Bobby was truly a "brother" to him. They loved to play music together. Just know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will miss Bobby. I know how much he loved his music cause we would jam for hours and hours during guitar lessons. he always would play and always had that smile. All the prayers to the family!

Great Kid...good studious musician...he is missed more than you will know...Its rare a kid like this makes an impact in someones life...I used to sit outside the studio door and listen as he took guitar lessons from Don Tillman....Such a loss for all fo us in Gtown..
