David Rohm Obituary
He was born on October 23, 1932, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Dave Lee Rohm and Mary Ethel Jenkins Rohm.
David was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Threads Ticro after 45 years of service and Sara Lee after 10 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years, Marlene Nolen Rohm; son, Michael Rohm (Melinda); daughter, Terry Rollick; sister-in-law, Nancy Rohm; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Geneva Welch; grandchildren, David Rollick and Savannah Rae Rohm; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Rohm; sisters, Genevieve Rivenburgh, Marie Smith and Cathlene Alda May Rohm; and brothers, Ivan and Author Rohm; adopted son, Terry Usery.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 18, 2019, at 2 pm at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Roger Overton.
The family will receive friends 1 – 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial with military honors by the Gaston County Honor Guard will be in Long Creek Cemetery in Dallas.
