Diane Starnes Obituary
Gastonia, NC
Carolyn Diane Starnes, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Diane was born on May 3, 1943 in Gaston County to the late Alfonzo Willie Dial and Beatrice Moody Dial. For many years, Diane served as a teacher's assistant in the Gaston County Schools and was the kitchen manager at First ARP Church in Gastonia. She was a member of Pisgah ARP Church where she sang in the choir.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Ledford, and a sister, Francis Dial.
Diane is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sharron Ledford (Keith), Kristy Gilman (Scotty) and Robin McCarver (Darren); grandsons, John Ledford and Paramedic Travis Gilman; great-granddaughter, Avianna Patrick; brother Bert Dial (Rita).
Family and friends of Diane Starnes are invited to attend her Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Pisgah ARP Church. The Reverend Rick Lewis will officiate. The family will greet friends at the church immediately following the service.

The Starnes family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Diane may be sent to the charity of the donors choice.
