Donald Moore Obituary
He was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Charles Monroe Moore and Grace Stillwell Moore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Mae Simms Moore in 1996.
He had worked for the town of Landis and worked for Cannon Mills Co Plant 4 before retiring. He was a veteran of WW II, US Navy, where he had served on the USS Intrepid. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday Oct at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kannapolis.
Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park with military graveside rites by the Cabarrus Count Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at a son's home, Dean Moore 1715 Safrit Road, Salisbury, NC..
He is survived by three sons, Tony M. Moore Sr. and wife Phyllis, Donald Marshall Moore and wife, Karen, Dean M. Moore and wife Bonnie; a daughter, Beverly M. Hancock and husband Danny and a brother, Charles David Moore.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Tony M. Moore Jr., Stephen M. Moore, Misty Brakefield, Roxanne Moore, Jeffrey Moore, Charles Moore, Cindy Ramirez, Dean Michael Moore II, Kristen Bradshaw, Chad Hancock, and Casey Marie Hinson and 13 great-grandchildren, Dylan Hancock, Miranda Hancock, Mallory Hancock, Drake Lytton, Layson Brakefield, Taylor Moore, Ian Ramirez, Sam Ramirez, Makayla "Cinnamon" Moore, Max Bradshaw, Miles Bradshaw, Janelle Dunton, and Kelsie Dixon; and one great-great-grandchild, Kaleb Dunton.
Any memorials given on behalf of Mr. Moore will be donated to the NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.
Donations may be sent to his son, Dean Moore 1715 Safrit road Salisbury, NC 28146.

Our sympathy goes to the Moore's during this dark period. We are sad of the loss of Donald. We feel Honored to have his friends over the years. His careing and kindness will not be forgotten.
